How Do I Fit the U-Bracket to My Maxim Toolbox Lock?Updated 3 days ago

If you're replacing the lock on an older MAXIM toolbox, you might need a U-Bracket and split pin first. 

Do you need a U-Bracket?

The U-Bracket is only needed if your toolbox has the old-style lock. Newer MAXIM locks don't need it.

Check your current lock against the image below:

If your lock matches this image, you'll need the U-Bracket and split pin to fit a new replacement lock. If it doesn't match, skip the bracket, your new lock will fit directly.
